For this week’s peek into our Three Rivers project, we’re heading into the kitchen and dining room: two spaces separated on the floor plan but speaking the same design language. Both rooms carry forward the soft neutral used in the foyer, a hue with a quiet pink undertone that keeps things warm without veering precious. It’s a subtle backdrop that works beautifully with the surrounding mountain light and helps the whole home feel intentionally connected.
The kitchen leans into clean, modern lines with a gentle mix of matte black, vibrant greens, and warm wood tones. With wall paint softening the sharper elements, the whole space projects a grounded ease that feels right for a home meant to host both weekend guests and laid-back family dinners. And hits of olive and rust keep it tied to the California-meets–Sierra foothills palette we’ve been weaving throughout the project.
Just across the living room, the dining space continues the story with a blend of organic shapes and crisp contrast. A sculptural pendant, live-edge wood table, and textural seating give the room a relaxed sophistication–nothing too formal, nothing too casual, just a sweet spot that suits both rental life and unhurried vacation meals. The palette stays warm and earthy, echoing the natural tones outside without getting too literal about it.
Stay tuned because more glimpses from this project are on the way soon! These two rooms are just the next chapter.
