On my way home from work I learned from KCRW that the Koons House in Eagle Rock achieved historic landmark status today.  The Spanish-colonial revival house on Escarpa Drive was built in 1928 for Arther Koons who later became the president of Occidental College.

It’s a beauty – I think I’ll have to swing by one of these weekends.  Nice that our little “town” surrounded by LA and Pasadena has a bit of history of its own.
