For this week’s #MoodboardMonday, we’re previewing two unique interior design schemes for the dining room in our client’s Atlanta area home. Whether it’s hosting an elegant dinner party or enjoying a laid-back weeknight meal, this room has to balance style and comfort, and we’ve crafted two schemes we think do just that. Check them out below!

Dining room option one leans into moody elegance with a dramatic palette of deep reds and charcoals. A celestial wallpaper covers the ceiling and sets the tone, and luxe detailing on the mirror and rug bring an artistic, layered feel to the space.

This second dining room design scheme takes a more playful approach, starting with a striking blue gridded wallpaper that wraps the ceiling in bold, modern energy. Statement lighting, organic-inspired shapes, and a mix of finishes give the space an eclectic yet polished feel — perfect for a room where lively conversations and delicious meals come together.

Our sketch below showcases a dining room layout that strikes a seamless balance between form and function. A generous dining table takes center stage, complemented by upholstered chairs that combine style with comfort. A sleek credenza provides ample storage for entertaining essentials, while a large picture window bathes the space in natural light, accentuating the carefully chosen finishes and details. Opposite the credenza, a curated gallery wall adds a personal touch, turning the room into a true reflection of its owners’ taste and style.

Both designs pair sophisticated details with practical functionality, ensuring the dining room feels polished yet livable. Which one is your favorite?
