Now that we have a pool, I’ve been in the process of furnishing it. While we had outdoor furniture before, the style doesn’t really fit our new mid-century home and we needed some additional pieces, namely pool lounge chairs. I wanted something with a clean mid-century feel that didn’t feel cheap but that ultimately was cheap because I had to purchase four of them and have a lot of other items in my house budget. I was torn between fabric cushions and mesh. While both are great, in the end we decided on mesh which dries faster and can be hosed down (having dealt with muddy dog paws on our previous outdoor cushions). I also decided on powder coated aluminum. I love what wood brings to an outdoor space but figured this could be a maintenance nightmare. Here are some of the options I was considering:
Clockwise from top left: West Elm Halden Chaise Lounge :: CB2 Lodi Sun Lounger :: Overstock VidaXL Sun Lounger :: West Elm Portside Lounger :: Amazonia Garopaba Lounger :: Christopher Knight Modesta Lounger (this is the one we ended up purchasing)
Stay tuned for my next round up of beach towels to use with our poolside loungers!
