Team Atelier Davis is back with another design deep dive! This week we’re unveiling two kitchen moodboards for our ongoing Atlanta project, one that leans into dramatic contrasts and another that exudes a serene, organic vibe.

If you’ve been following along, you might remember some of our earlier posts about this project — like our exploration of stunning entryway moodboards — and how we’ve been weaving a cohesive narrative of style and function throughout this home. These kitchen moodboards continue that journey, bringing heart and soul into the most important gathering space.

Scheme 1: Charismatic Contrasts

Our first kitchen concept is all about embracing contrast and texture. Think cabinets painted in an inky black that feels moody yet timeless, paired with the soft glow of neutral tones for balance. Standout details include:

  • Hardware: Gleaming brass pulls that feel classic yet fresh.
  • Faucet: A sculptural gooseneck faucet with a warm wood accent
  • Seating: Thoughtfully designed counter stools that are as stylish as they are functional.

This moodboard delivers a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, grounded by warm wood accents that create a space brimming with character.

Scheme 2: Subtle Sophistication

The second moodboard leans into a refined, nature-inspired palette. The cabinets are dressed in a lush green hue, perfectly offset by airy, neutral tones. Key elements include:

  • Seating: Soft leather counter stools for a touch of understated luxury.
  • Color Palette: Earthy and grounding, with a focus on harmony and warmth.
  • Surfaces: The kitchen island features elegant marble paired with bluestone for a seamless and functional design.

This design strikes a perfect balance between old world charm and modern finesse, creating a space that’s as welcoming as it is polished.

Comparing the Two

Both schemes offer neutral tones as a backdrop, ensuring cohesion and light-filled appeal, but their personalities couldn’t be more distinct. The first moodboard exudes a daring charisma, while the second whispers quiet sophistication. No matter which direction the final design takes, we can’t wait to see these visions come to life.
