There’s something so satisfying about a good transformation. At Atelier Davis we believe that thoughtfully designed interiors can completely change the way you live, work, and feel. This year we’ve had the pleasure of completing a few standout interior design projects that truly embody that ethos. Each one presented its own set of challenges, but also opportunities for creativity and problem-solving. Let’s dive into these before-and-after journeys!

Ansley Park: From Stuffy to Bold & Bright

This Ansley Park Atlanta area home felt heavy and dated, with a traditional aesthetic that didn’t align with the homeowners’ bold and eclectic tastes. It needed a refresh that embraced color and pattern without becoming overwhelming.

By leaning into vibrant color, playful decor accents and reimagined furnishings, we brought energy and balance to the sitting room and dining area. A striking feature wall in the sitting room set the tone, while updated lighting and soft paint color and new home styling added depth. In the dining area, striking drapery combined with bold paint and statement furnishings change the vibe. The result? A dynamic and inviting home brimming with personality and charm.

Whitewater Creek: A Kitchen & Bathroom Glow-Up

The kitchen and bathroom at our Whitewater Creek project in Atlanta were functional but uninspiring. Our first step was to envision spaces that felt fresh and welcoming, with smart storage solutions and a calming palette.

By incorporating custom millwork, sleek tile, and a mix of open shelving and cabinetry, we turned the kitchen into a balanced blend of functionality and beauty. And the bathroom’s spa-like atmosphere, complete with a tub room, became a highlight, evoking a sense of serenity. These major updates transformed the home into a cohesive and elevated retreat.

Studio Pilates Midtown: From Blank Canvas to Energizing Hub

The space at Studio Pilates Midtown started as a wide-open, industrial blank canvas — bare walls, exposed ceilings, and little to no warmth. The challenge was to infuse inviting energy while maintaining a sleek, functional aesthetic for this bustling Atlanta pilates studio.

We embraced the industrial feel, layering in natural wood tones, subtle pops of color, and clever lighting solutions to create a warm, focused environment. Now, this pilates studio is a polished and inspiring hub for clients and staff alike — proof that even the simplest starting point can lead to extraordinary results.

This year’s projects have reminded us that no two rooms are the same, and that’s where the fun lies. Whether it’s a cozy family home or a dynamic commercial studio, each transformation tells a story about the people who inhabit it. We’re thrilled to see these spaces come to life and can’t wait to tackle the next design challenge. Stay tuned for more transformations in the works!
