Scott and I are excited to announce that TBD (The Baby Davis) is on his way. We found out on Wednesday that we are having a boy. He is due on Oct 28! Various naming conversations have ensued, not with much success. Thus far we have only come up with a whole bunch of offensive acronyms and ridiculous eponyms. So this is what our kitchen looks like currently.Future renovations include replacing the contractor floor tiles, adding a hood over our awesome vintage stove, getting a new fridge, replacing the counter tops (white carrara perhaps?), putting in a subway tile backsplash, new lighting (ugh, it's so dim) and adding a window seat in the breakfast nook. I went to the flower district yesterday and found the cutest little live moss pots. At just over a buck each, I had to have them. Adding a few eggs and birdies found in the craft section at Moskatels makes for some very cute Easter goodies (and would work great as place card holders for the Easter brunch I'm not having). I used the rest of the birdies atop the dogwood branches that I bought. Read more
