Atelier Davis is so excited to start a new-build project in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and we’re beginning with concept images for the home’s exterior spaces. These early references help us define how each area should look, feel, and function before we move into specific materials, furnishings, and finishes. By considering the exterior, pool, and pavilion together from the start, we can create one connected experience that feels warm, modern, and at home on the Gulf Coast.
For the exterior, natural wood, dark metal, and graphic breeze blocks bring warmth and texture to the home’s clean architectural lines. Deep overhangs and slatted screens provide much-needed shade and privacy while adding dimension to the façade.
The pool carries the same restrained palette outdoors with pale stone, subtle tile, and broad steps that create an easy transition into the water.
The open-air pavilion extends the living space beyond the main house with dedicated areas for cooking, dining, and relaxing. Wood-clad ceilings soften the structure, while pass-through openings, black accents, and perforated blockwork allow air and light to move through the space.
Together, these elements set the tone for a relaxed coastal home with a distinctly modern point of view. We look forward to sharing more as the design takes shape!
