Team Atelier Davis is working on a project in Greenwhich Village, and this week we’re sharing our schemes for two of the hardest-working rooms in the house: the bathrooms. We’ve got a pair of concepts each for the guest and primary baths—and while they may share a foundation, the devil (as always) is in the details.

Let’s start with the guest bath. These two schemes are like fraternal twins—built from the same bones, but with distinct personalities. One leans cooler, with a soft gray-green tile and an earthy, organic textile on the shower curtain. The other brings in warmth through a golden clay glaze and a paler, sand-toned stripe. Both balance classic fixtures with hits of polish, keeping the overall vibe crisp but approachable.

For the primary bath, we took things a step further. The first scheme is clean and refined, with milky white walls, soft veining in the stone, and just enough green in the mosaic to give it depth. The overall effect is serene and elevated, like a pause button in a busy city apartment.

The second primary scheme adds a bit more drama—richer veining, slightly moodier lighting, and a deeper paint tone that plays up the architecture. Still calm, still clean, but with more presence. It’s a space that invites you to linger.

Whether we’re tweaking tile tones or playing with fabric textures, these bathroom schemes show how small shifts can shape the whole experience. We can’t wait to bring them to life!
