Nest on Etsy

I've been dropping a few hints on my blog about some new items that were coming your way in 2011. Well, the first has finally arrived!  I'm happy to announce the opening of my new Nest Studio Etsy Shop.  The first item I'll be selling is a duvet set designed by yours truly (and based on some of your comments from a little survey I did a while back). It's a simple white 400 thread count duvet set -... Hamper Time

The laundry storage situation at the Ahnert Davis household is rather bleak. As you can see from the photo below, we have the foldable laundry bag hamper from our Brooklyn days, a cheap plastic (and broken) laundry basket, the IKEA "bug" hamper which we use to tote the laundry to and from the laundry room (because the plastic basket is broken) and pile of dry cleaning on the floor (which Floopy... Thank god for shop vacs and a tile floor. The culprit was a walkway that sloped toward our... Read more

Arugula Redux

Remember when I planted the arugula in our yard?  I posted about it back in October.  Well, it's growing like a weed (it sort of looks like a weed too). Those of you who have been to Italy know that their rucola or rocket is super nutty, spicy and earthy.... umami to the core. Baby arugula that you find in the US just doesn't cut it. Well, what I've recently discovered in harvesting my own arugula... Read more

Bazaar!

Don't miss Serena & Lily's 6 day Bazaar happening right now.  Think of it as their version of a One Kings Lane Tastemaker Tag Sale.Unfortunately I got to it late and some of the items are sold out, but you can like them on facebook or follow them on twitter and be first on the list for the next one. As a complement to their home furnishings lines they source art, accessories and furniture from... Read more
