Atelier Davis is incredibly honored to have the opportunity to design the lower level rec room in the upcoming spring 2024 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Southeastern Designer Showhouse! Show houses serve as a unique platform for designers to push creative boundaries and explore ideas that may not typically align with a client’s preferences, adding an element of excitement to the design process. When considering this show house, Jessica Davis considered embracing the diverse possibilities for the room’s purpose — whether it be a stylish bar, a playful game room, or an imaginative kids play area. Ultimately, she chose to craft an atmosphere that exudes warmth and comfort, making it into a welcoming lower level rec room.

Check out the moodboards for both the rec room and its accompanying powder room below! Inspiration for the rec room started with showstopper artwork by Jane Fisher, serving as the focal point and establishing a unique color story that reverberates throughout. Anchoring the rec room with a burst of sunshine are the custom daybeds, expertly crafted by Grant Trick in lemon yellow fabric. Additionally, the interplay of textural components like the cozy MOUS armchair and sleek Hellman Chang credenza adds playfulness and depth to the room. Bringing these carefully selected elements together, Atelier Davis is creating a space that not only delights the eyes but also welcomes you with open arms.
