Team Atelier Davis is working on a new project in Decatur, Georgia, and last week we shared two color-forward schemes for the living room. This week we’re moving into the dining room, where bold wall and arch combinations keep the story going. Each pairing connects back to the living room, but with its own personality.

One scheme goes bright and crisp, with saturated blue walls offset by a blush pink arch. Brass details and sculptural lighting add polish, while warm woods and plush textures keep the room grounded. The effect is fresh and energetic—perfect for lively gatherings.

Clockwise from Top Left: Benjamin Moore Pink Peach and Majestic Blue, Nest Studio Profile Collection, Soho Home Douglas Chandelier, JGD Brick in Carmine available from WARECO, Interior Define Hollis Metal Framed Upholstered Chair in Celadon Performance Plush Velvet with Matte Brass Legs, Handwoven Wool Kilim Rug available from Etsy, Hernest Thorsten 72″ Oval Dining Table,

The other scheme leans into earthier tones, with deep olive walls framing a cool blue arch. Rich walnut, velvet upholstery, and patterned textiles create a layered, collected feel. It’s a moodier option, grounded yet playful, that invites long dinners and conversation.

Clockwise from Top Left: Benjamin Moore Skydive and Winding Vines, Dutton Brown Color Axia Chandelier, Sister by Studio Ashby Patch in Madder available from WARECO, Gotain Roman Blind Woven Linen Cottage Collection Roman Shade in Stripe Mustard, Pierce & Ward Curved Back Dining Chair in Burnt Umber Performance Velvet available from West Elm, Adara 78.5″ Oval Dining Table in American Walnut available from Joss & Main, Nordic Knots Grand in Deep Blue

Both approaches play with contrast: warm against cool, bold color against subtle texture. Whether the dining room lands in the bright camp or the earthy one, it stays connected to the rest of the home while still carving out its own identity. We can’t wait to see this room take shape!
