Team Atelier Davis is wrapping up our Pennsylvania lake house project with one last #MoodboardMonday — and this time, we’re heading to the primary suite. After sharing our concepts for the entry, living/dining area, kitchen, and powder room, we’ve saved this serene retreat for last. As with the rest of the home, our design direction balances modern warmth with natural materials and just the right amount of drama.
Primary Bedroom
Two different takes, both rooted in texture and tone.
Concept A layers soft greens and neutrals for a calming effect, with ash cladding on the walls and wallpaper in celadon green adding an organic rhythm. The terrazzo tile brings in a speckled surprise—something earthy but elevated.

Concept B pushes into warmer territory with tan wall panels and taupe floor tile. This palette leans slightly more tailored and architectural, while still feeling completely at home in a lakeside setting.

Primary Bath
In the primary bath, the contrast between concepts is even more distinct.
Concept A ties directly to the bedroom’s soft greens and textures–repeating the ash cladding and terrazzo for continuity. The brushed nickel plumbing fixtures and brown-greige tile add polish without overpowering the palette.

We love how the rendering for this version emphasizes light and softness.

Concept B, on the other hand, goes a bit glossier. Polished nickel fixtures and dramatic sconces set the tone. The tile introduces depth and movement, making the space feel sculptural and refined.

In the rendering, this bathroom feels like a boutique hotel spa–with a little lakeside soul.

With both concepts, we wanted the primary suite to feel like a true getaway: elevated but not fussy, luxurious but grounded in the natural surroundings.
Stay tuned. We can’t wait to share the finished spaces with you!
